Each Goal has an automated status that reflects its status based on the state of its linked KPIs.<br/><br/>
You don’t need to update this manually, the status updates automatically as KPI data is added or updated.<br/><br/>
In addition to the progress bar, the status provides a quick overview of how far along the Goal is. There are three possible statuses:<br/><br/>
<Section>
<SectionTitle>Open</SectionTitle>
The Goal is marked as Open when:
<ul>
<li>No KPIs are linked to the Goal, or</li>
<li>All linked KPIs are also in Open status</li>
</ul>
Note: KPIs with neither data entries nor a defined target are considered Open.

<Section>
<SectionTitle>In Progress</SectionTitle>
The Goal becomes In Progress when:
<ul>
<li>At least one linked KPI is in Progress status</li>
</ul>
</Section>
<Section>
<SectionTitle>Completed</SectionTitle>
A Goal is marked as Completed when
<ul>
<li>All linked KPIs have reached 100% progress.</li>
</ul>
</Section>
Note: If any KPI progress later drops below 100% (for example, if a current value moves away from the target), the Goal will automatically switch back to In Progress.

Each KPI has a <strong>Current Value</strong>, a <strong>Longterm Target</strong>, and a <strong>Target Date</strong>.<br/><br/>
The progress percentage is calculated by comparing the Current Value against the Target, considering the starting point.<br/><br/>
For goals with multiple KPIs, progress is aggregated based on their individual weight and contribution to the goal. This ensures an accurate and dynamic representation of your sustainability efforts.<br/><br/>
